XTO Energy is proud to operate in the Appalachian basin, a region that is home to the Marcellus and Utica shale formations. A large focus of our operational work in these formations takes place in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Our employees not only work in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia but they live there as well, and they take the time to develop relationships with local residents and organizations.

We strive to be a good corporate partner and make a positive impact within the communities where we operate.

In Belmont County, Ohio—a county that has experienced economic improvements in recent years as a result of natural gas operations—we help to support programs that are administered by the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley and the Ohio River Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America, among others.
