Corporate Headquarters – Fort Worth, Texas
Known as the city of cowboys and culture, Fort Worth is the 17th-largest city in the United States, and was recently named as the best downtown in the nation (according to livability.com). It is one of the cleanest, safest and most walkable urban areas in the United States. The heart of downtown is Sundance Square, a shopping and entertainment district with restaurants, shops, galleries and performance venues.
About 2,000 XTO employees work in downtown Fort Worth. The company owns seven buildings, and leases office space in two additional buildings. Six of the seven XTO-owned buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and two have received awards for architectural restoration.
Downtown Fort Worth is home to XTO’s Executive, Engineering, Geology, Planning, Law, Land, Information Technology, Human Resources, Controllers, Environmental, Health and Safety, Public and Government Affairs, Midstream, Gas Marketing, and Tax departments.
Just minutes from downtown, XTO’s Fort Worth Division Headquarters is located in the Stockyards National Historic District. Once home to cowboys and cattlemen, the Stockyards is one of the most popular attractions in Texas, where people come to get a taste of the true American West. The brick streets are lined with historic buildings, restaurants and shops, and locals and visitors alike watch the world’s only twice-daily cattle drive at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
