Automation Technician

  • Duties: Must work with Production and Midstream Operations understanding the importance of bringing in data from well sites, salt water disposals, compressor sites, plants and any field automation into XTO’s related SCADA and alarming systems for alarm history/trending, and display. Must work well with field production and I & E employees. This position will be required to be a part of an on-call rotation; when on-call it is based on 24/7 support.  There may be times this individual is called in to assist when not on-call as part of a team. Responsible for the day to day support, maintenance, and some development of XTO field locations to include well sites, SWD’s and tank batteries. Interface with various customer and support elements including automation, measurement, engineering, production, operations, and other IT support staff including trouble-shooting communications issues. Ability to travel (travel required across the Delaware Division properties) to remote sites for projects and other support (majority of time spent in the field), and is self-motivated managing priorities as they change regularly to the field’s needs.
  • Skills:  Knowledge of Automation controls preferred. Must have safety as a primary concern. Working knowledge of RTU’s, PLC’s and field devices preferred. Basic IT knowledge of computers is beneficial. Understanding of field radio communications is beneficial. Effective written and oral skills. Strong time-management skills, customer-service orientation, and good interpersonal skills. Experience in oil and gas field operations is preferred.

Lease Operator

  • Duties: Daily monitoring and light maintenance of production equipment. Daily production reporting. Operation of company properties in a safe, regulatory compliant and efficient manner. Light maintenance of properties and vehicles.
  • Skills:  Experience in and knowledge of day-to-day operations of the oil and gas industry preferred. 1 to 5 years of work experience preferred. General knowledge of all types of surface facilities. Good work ethic and positive attitude. Clear driving record. Good written and oral communication skills. Good computer skills including use of Microsoft Office suite of products. Able to work shift work. Able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions. Able to lift more than 50 lbs. and climb ladders and stairways.

Lease Operator

  • Duties: Gauge tanks, read meters and record data. Inspect equipment/facilities for problems and perform minor repairs. Shoot fluid levels. Coordinate oil sales and produced water hauling. Maintain gauge sheets properly and note reasons for production changes. Communicate with Production Foreman and other Lease Operators on a daily basis. Adhere to all environmental and safety policies. Must be able to work rotating shifts and weekends, as well as callouts.
  • Skills:  Prior oil/gas experience preferred, with knowledge and ability to maintain, operate and repair surface production equipment. Good computer skills using Microsoft Office suite of products. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and climb ladders and stairways. Must be capable of using SCBA and associate safety equipment. Must be a team player, punctual and reliable. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Lease Operator

Adhere to all environmental and safety policies and procedures. Communicate with production foreman and other lease operators on a daily basis. Keep company vehicle maintained and in good working condition. Coordinate oil sales and salt water hauling. Maintain gauge sheets properly and note reasons for production changes. Will work rotating shift and call-outs on a scheduled basis.
  • Skills:  Ability to maintain, operate and repair surface equipment associated with the production of oil and gas. Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Office or similar software program. Able to lift more than 50 lbs. and climb ladders and stairways. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be capable of using SCBA and associated safety equipment. Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts and scheduled call-outs. Must be a team player.
