Accountant/Financial Analyst, Leadership Development Program

  • Duties/Skills:  Each year XTO and ExxonMobil hire a number of outstanding candidates as accountants and analysts.  We target individuals with a minimum of 2 years public accounting or industry experience and with a CPA license preferred.  These professional positions are a vital part of the Controller's organization supporting XTO and ExxonMobil's business lines by ensuring accurate accounting and financial statements for all operations. Candidates must have the ability to learn accounting systems such as SAP and the capability to manage multiple monthly priorities and deadlines. Key responsibilities include the following: Analysis of relationships between complex operations, related contracts and financial transactions. Recording and analyzing revenue and expense transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Communicating and implementing changes in accounting standards. Utilizing and updating computing systems to accurately record financial transactions. Designing and evaluating controls. Improving financial and accounting processes. Providing financial support to operating and financial organizations. Through these activities you will participate in business decisions, improve our processes, and work closely with both financial and business line operating management. Many of our initial positions are located at office facilities in Fort Worth, Texas currently but will be relocating to Houston, Texas in summer 2020. You can expect to rotate through a few assignments in the first four to five years allowing for a variety of experiences to build skills and knowledge. Demonstrated performance will lead to increasing responsibility and opportunities across the financial organizations (business analysis, financial reporting, financial accounting, operations accounting, and financial controls) and through various business lines (Upstream, Downstream, Chemicals) via job rotation. Senior Division Order Analyst

  • Duties: Responsible for obtaining title opinions/title documentation, analysis of curative requirements and securing required curative documentation in order to determine the well/unit ownership. Interacts with peer department in obtaining relevant information impacting ownership and revenue distribution. Establishes and maintains ownership in accordance with record title for revenue distribution. Resolves ownership curative issues and processes administrative duties ensuring ownership is accurate for distribution of revenues. Review and verify Company owned gross working, overriding and/or royalty interests and process outside division orders for execution. Responsible for review of suspended revenues and ensuring monies are distributed accurately and timely. Manage assigned responsibilities and duties to ensure accurate and timely completion of assignments, projects and other duties as assigned. Mentor/train staff and communicate with owners and peer departments and companies.
  • Skills:  College Graduate preferred, but not required. 8-10 Years of experience in mineral ownership (Division Orders preferred) Petroleum Land or Lease Administration (acceptable).  Strong analytical, math and communication skills with an aptitude for detailed and precise work. Knowledge of oil and gas law and/or state specific ownership related law, including statutory guidelines, unclaimed property regulations, probate/laws of decent and distribution, contracts, etc. General knowledge of associated departments’ activities (i.e.; Marketing, Revenue, Controllers, JIB, Procurement, etc.). Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office required.  Knowledge/experience with Waterfield Division Order Ownership Management tool, Quorum, AVATAR, SAP/PRA a plus. Strong decision making, problem solving, technical knowledge, communication, leadership, project management and organization skills required.  Position will be located in Houston, TX. Division Order Analyst

  • Skills:  College Graduate preferred, but not required. 3-7 years of experience in mineral ownership (Division Orders preferred) Petroleum Land or Lease Administration (acceptable). Senior Lease Analyst

  • Duties: Analyze, setup complex new wells and units and maintain leases, contracts, and other title documents within the Quorum Land system. Addresses/resolves issues of moderate complexity according to industry practices and within system standards. Responsible for managing time required to accomplish assigned work with little supervision. Identifies possible problems/issues and ensures that timelines and actions are realistic and appropriate. Independently plans, organizes, prioritizes, schedules and completes multiple concurrent projects and assignments on a timely basis. Organizes workload with ease and consistency.
  • Skills:  College Graduate preferred, but not required. 8-10 Years of experience in Lease Administration preferred. Demonstrates sound working knowledge of land titles, theories, and concepts within all facets of Land as well as essential knowledge of system applications (Quorum Land) and reporting tools. Listens and communicates effectively, with full disclosure of pertinent facts and information; communication is clear, direct and concise. Maintains confidentiality; keeps the appropriate parties informed. Demonstrates sound understanding of group concepts; soliciting, promoting, and encouraging members’ ideas, goals and efforts. Assumes personal ownership for actions and those of group/department. Position will rely on developed negotiation skills to enhance solution/problem solving ideas. Makes effective decisions and recommendations pertaining to all facets of Land from a business and technical perspective.

Lease Analyst

    Strong problem solving and project management skills. Strong computer skills to include the Microsoft Office suite of products. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task. High priority in customer service.
