ONRR Accountant

  • Duties: Ensure calculation and payment of oil and gas revenue is made timely and accurately for assigned area. Ensure related general ledger accounts are reconciled and provide variance explanations when necessary for finanacial and management reporting. Answer revenue questions for interest owners, partners and customers in assigned area. Develop knowledge of the contractual and operational environment in assigned area. Develop a relationship with and communicate effectively with personnel in the field offices, technical groups, and marketing personnel. Work with remitters, purchasers and transporters as needed. Work as a supportive team member in the Revenue Accounting group. Assist with process and system improvements. Experience in Federal Reporting (ONRR/MMS) needed.
  • Skills: Degreed accountant with 3-5+ years of experience or 10+ years of experience in oil and gas industry. Federal Reporting (ONRR/MMS) experience required. Working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls. Ability to complete routine tasks with limited supervision. Able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Strong computer abilities to include Microsoft Office suite of products, as well as various accounting software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Avatar and Essbase knowledge a plus.

Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant

  • Duties: Will perform business analysis and reporting of financial and operating results. Coordination of business unit's financial plan and operating forecast. Act as financial advisor to operating management on cost stewardship, controls and financial processes. Develop capital budgets. Design and evaluate financial and operating control systems. Improve financial and accounting processes. Provide broad financial support to acquisitions, divestments and corporate restructurings. Will work closely with both financial and business line management through these activities.
  • Skills: MBA or equivalent, with proficiency in relevant areas such as financial analysis, accounting, corporate finance, international business. Proven record of initiative, leadership and academic achievement. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Geographic flexibility (domestic and international).

Revenue Accounting Assistant

  • Duties: Responsible for accounting processes related to revenue royalty payments. Will ensure accurate processing of owner direct deposits, suspended accounts, voided checks and miscellaneous transactions for timely issuance of revenue checks to royalty owners. Will develop strong working relationships with IOR team, as well as other departments within the organization. Will work as a supportive team member within the Revenue Accounting group.
