Data Scientist/Solutions Architect

  • Duties:  Identifying technical and business performance gaps, opportunities, and solutions through data, statistics, and technology. Coordinating and providing technical guidance within Data Integration and Analytics team to generate best solutions with near/mid/long term goals in mind. Developing robust and statistically sound methods for internal and external benchmarking metrics. Projects and initiatives involving data flow, access, and storage considerations. Data source integration among multiple platforms and (SQL, Oracle, noSQL, and Big Data platforms). Development of Drilling, Operations, Reservoir, and Geology workflows/dashboards/applications. Scripting functions and code to manipulate, transform, or visualize information. Embedding machine learning algorithms in new and existing processes. Guiding appropriate handling of high frequency sensor data. Visualization of complex information for consumption across the business
  • Skills: Minimum 4-yr degree with strong academic experience relevant to Data Analytics and Data Science Prefer five or more years of professional experience with a track record of successful solution generation in Data Science, Data Architecture & Analytics  Advanced critical thinking skills, detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude Flexible and able to prioritize assignments associated with multiple technical disciplines  Ability to start or engage in existing initiatives while quickly delivering high quality results  Must be an adept problem solver with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Business Development Analyst 

  • Duties:  Research and analysis of oil and gas production and revenue data for acquisitions, trades, divestments, and other commercial transactions, inclusive of data management and quality control, related to company interested properties, as well as industry research. Analyses to include data queries, plots, charts and graphs; running economics using ARIES Economics/LAPP; GIS/Spotfire mapping of opportunities for evaluation, including potential trade acreage, competitor acreage, wells, production trends, plays, and geological attributes, for multi-media output including presentation graphics, digital maps, and prints for meetings and data rooms; presentation design and formatting for meeting packs, marketing materials, and montages. Consult and collaborate with other functional teams including Reservoir & Geology, Land, Legal, Tax, Accounting, Data Management, and IT. Excellent interpersonal skills required, comfortable in dealing with multidiscipline teams, able to work well with others and as part of a team. Manage Virtual Data Rooms / Shared Mailboxes. Assist with Audit Documentation. Additional GIS duties include feature class management for Data Integration and Analytics. Maintenance and point of contact for the Portfolio Tool (Spotfire).
  • Skills: Advanced critical thinking skills, detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude, flexible and able to prioritize assignments, substantial experience in the engineering tech field preferred. Must be an adept problem solver – how data is presented and managed is vital. Mineral Analyst

  • Duties: Analyze, setup Company’s Mineral, Royalty and Surface interest through detailed examination and analysis of deeds, title curative, and data acquired through acquisitions within the Quorum Land System. Address/resolve issues of high complexity according to industry practices and within system standards. Independently plans, organizes, priorities, schedules, and completes multiple concurrent projects and assignments on a timely basis. Responsible for managing time required to accomplish assigned work with little supervision. Identifies possible problems/issues and ensures that timelines and actions are realistic and appropriate. Organizes workload with ease and consistency.
  • Skills:  College Graduate preferred, but not required. 8-10 years of experience in running mineral and surface title, working due diligence projects, and analyzing multiple land contract types (JOAs, Leases, Farmouts, Farmins, Pooling, Unitization, etc.)
    Listens and communicates effectively, with full disclosure of pertinent facts and information; communication is clear, direct and concise. Maintains confidentiality; keeps the appropriate parties informed. Demonstrates sound understanding of group concepts; soliciting, promoting, and encouraging members’ ideas, goals and efforts. Assumes personal ownership for actions and those of group/department. Position will rely on developed negotiation skills to enhance solution/problem solving ideas. Ability to think abstractly when presented a problematic situation in order to reach a logical conclusion. Makes effective decisions and recommendations pertaining to all facets of Land from a business and technical perspective.

SHE Technician

  • Duties:  Will steward and promote the safety culture, SHE tasks and initiatives. Responsible for daily SHE field activities including site inspections, spill response, sampling and other tasks assigned. Effectively perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Maintain and enter data into numerous excel spreadsheets and SiteView software. Provide field support for a variety of regulatory and compliance driven projects.
  • Skills: Exhibit strong leadership skills where results are obtained without direct accountability. Upstream oil and gas experience preferred with background in safety. Ability to work independently as well as work in a team environment. Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects. Must have strong commitment to EHS policies and be willing to provide quality service for area’s needs. Drilling Engineer

  • Duties:  Successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing multiple rig drilling schedule in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.  Duties include preparing AFEs, planning directional wellbores, and soliciting quotes/bids from numerous vendors in a professional and ethical manner.  Analyzing drilling performance and implementing new procedures/technologies to improve drilling performance and costs.  Incumbent will have continuous interaction with Appalachia District personnel and work diligently to meet or exceed Central Division goals.

Engineering Technician

Accountant/Financial Analyst, Leadership Development Program

  • Duties/Skills:  Each year XTO and ExxonMobil hire a number of outstanding candidates as accountants and analysts.  We target individuals with a minimum of 2 years public accounting or industry experience and with a CPA license preferred.  These professional positions are a vital part of the Controller's organization supporting XTO and ExxonMobil's business lines by ensuring accurate accounting and financial statements for all operations. Construction Foreman
