Accountant/Financial Analyst, Leadership Development Program

  • Duties/Skills:  Each year XTO and ExxonMobil hire a number of outstanding candidates as accountants and analysts.  We target individuals with a minimum of 2 years public accounting or industry experience and with a CPA license preferred.  These professional positions are a vital part of the Controller's organization supporting XTO and ExxonMobil's business lines by ensuring accurate accounting and financial statements for all operations. Candidates must have the ability to learn accounting systems such as SAP and the capability to manage multiple monthly priorities and deadlines. Key responsibilities include the following: Analysis of relationships between complex operations, related contracts and financial transactions. Recording and analyzing revenue and expense transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Communicating and implementing changes in accounting standards. Utilizing and updating computing systems to accurately record financial transactions. Designing and evaluating controls. Improving financial and accounting processes. Providing financial support to operating and financial organizations. Through these activities you will participate in business decisions, improve our processes, and work closely with both financial and business line operating management. Many of our initial positions are located at office facilities in Fort Worth, Texas currently but will be relocating to Houston, Texas in summer 2020. You can expect to rotate through a few assignments in the first four to five years allowing for a variety of experiences to build skills and knowledge. Demonstrated performance will lead to increasing responsibility and opportunities across the financial organizations (business analysis, financial reporting, financial accounting, operations accounting, and financial controls) and through various business lines (Upstream, Downstream, Chemicals) via job rotation. Revenue Accountant

  • Duties: Ensure calculation and payment of oil and gas revenue is made timely and accurately for assigned area. Ensure related general ledger accounts are reconciled and provide variance explanations when necessary for financial and management reporting. Answer revenue questions from interest owners, partners and customers in assigned area. Develop knowledge of the contractual and operational environment in assigned area. Develop a relationship with and communicate effectively with personnel in the field offices, technical, and marketing personnel. Work with remitters, purchasers, and transporters as needed. Work as a supportive team member in the Revenue Accounting group. Assist with process and system improvements.    
  • Skills: Knowledgeable of mechanical system design, construction and operations, preferably with hands-on experience. Strong computer skills to include the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel. Strong ability with the operation of different software programs and able to learn new programs quickly. Will use AutoCad, ArcMap, Carte, Sitewview, Sharepoint, Spofire and Google Earth. Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment compiled of multiple disciplines. Strong written and oral communications skills. 5 years of relevant industry experience preferred.

Facilities Engineering Technician

  • Duties: Build, implement and maintain surveillance programs capturing water production and equipment performance data. Support engineering teams by preparing reports from surveillance programs and making recommendations for issues resolution. Maintain equipment database by gathering field data, inputting to database and auditing field to ensure quality information. Develop and maintain site facility diagrams. Support project execution teams through drawing development, material management and site walk downs. Spend 1-2 days per week in the field collecting/verifying information and surveilling key facilities.

Strong organizational skills to compliment a multi-tasking environment supporting engineers and geologists, proficient computer skills with the ability to use various software applications such as Petra, Aries Windows, Access and Excel, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude, flexible and able to prioritize assignments, substantial experience in the engineering tech field preferred.  SQL and database experience recommended. 3+ years demonstrated as technician preferred. No College Degree Required, but preferred.

Engineering Technician

  • Duties: Include, but not limited to, the following tasks: researching and compiling oil and gas data, plotting production, working with logs, providing production maps, assisting with cross sections, digitizing, calibrating log images, planimetering and spreadsheeting.

Senior Division Order Analyst

  • Duties: Responsible for obtaining title opinions/title documentation, analysis of curative requirements and securing required curative documentation in order to determine the well/unit ownership. Interacts with peer department in obtaining relevant information impacting ownership and revenue distribution. Establishes and maintains ownership in accordance with record title for revenue distribution. Resolves ownership curative issues and processes administrative duties ensuring ownership is accurate for distribution of revenues. Review and verify Company owned gross working, overriding and/or royalty interests and process outside division orders for execution. Responsible for review of suspended revenues and ensuring monies are distributed accurately and timely. Manage assigned responsibilities and duties to ensure accurate and timely completion of assignments, projects and other duties as assigned. Mentor/train staff and communicate with owners and peer departments and companies.
  • Skills:  College Graduate preferred, but not required. 8-10 Years of experience in mineral ownership (Division Orders preferred) Petroleum Land or Lease Administration (acceptable).  Strong analytical, math and communication skills with an aptitude for detailed and precise work. Knowledge of oil and gas law and/or state specific ownership related law, including statutory guidelines, unclaimed property regulations, probate/laws of decent and distribution, contracts, etc. General knowledge of associated departments’ activities (i.e.; Marketing, Revenue, Controllers, JIB, Procurement, etc.). Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office required.  Knowledge/experience with Waterfield Division Order Ownership Management tool, Quorum, AVATAR, SAP/PRA a plus. Strong decision making, problem solving, technical knowledge, communication, leadership, project management and organization skills required.  Position will be located in Houston, TX. Regional Security Supervisor

  • Duties: Lead criminal and/or civil investigations, including forensic examination of crime scenes and records. Train and consult with managerial staff regarding security and process and control irregularities. Supervise activities of all security personnel, both contract and proprietary. Act on behalf of XTO Energy and coordinate investigations with appropriate law enforcement agencies as required. Provide/ensure security related training for XTO personnel is completed in the assigned region.
  • Skills: Minimum 10 years law enforcement experience to include 5 years of supervisory experience preferred. In-depth and extensive knowledge of equipment and processes utilized in various aspects of oil/gas industry.  Excellent investigation and interview skills. Strong ability to work with all levels of employee population. Strong computer skills to include the Microsoft Office suite of products. Strong written and oral communications skills.
