Mitch was born in Morganfield, Kentucky. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky, and a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University. He began his career with ExxonMobil in 1991.
In his 25-year career, Mitch has held several positions of increasing responsibility with ExxonMobil Production Company, including planning advisor, Barnett Shale project manager, operations superintendent, regional planning advisor and facility engineering supervisor.
He joined XTO Energy in 2010 as the company’s planning manager, and in 2013, Mitch was promoted to president, XTO Energy Canada, and production operations vice president, Western Canada. He was named to his current position in November 2016.
Mitch and his wife, Nancy, have four children.
